GRAMMATICAL CATEGORY OF TRANSITIVITY / INTRANSITIVITY IN UKRAINIAN, RUSSIAN, ENGLISH LANGUAGES

Abstract
Main features of functioning the grammatical category of transitivity / intransitivity are analyzed in this article. Differences and similarities were exposed om the material of Ukrainian, Russian and English languages. Author exposes the basic semantic and stylistic features of the investigated category on the basis of comparative analysis. The article touches the question of identification such grammatical categories as valency and transitivity / intransitivity due to their similar semantic descriptions. Examples of usage transitive and intransitive verbs in three languages are given.
