GROUNDS AND PROCEDURE FOR APPLYING LEGAL LIABILITY FOR INFORMATION OFFENSES

Abstract
The work is devoted to topical issues of legal regulation of civil-law protection relations in the sphere of information turnover. It is established that the protection of rights to information can be associated with protective norms of the law of obligation, since information is a commodity and is in material turnover. On the other hand, since information is the subject of ownership, responsibility for non-infringement is also regulated at the level of protective rules of corporeal law. The doctrinal definitions of responsibility are analyzed and its difference from the general concept of sanctions is established.
