GUL INCIDENT: HOW THE WORLD TRAGEDY GAVE THE IMPULSE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF INTERNATIONAL LAW

Abstract
The article examines the specific characteristics of substance and development of investigation in international law. It analyzes the influence of the Gul incident, as the first case of appeal to the commissions of inquiry, on the formation of the investigation in international law. It emphasizes the circumstances of the Gul incident. It determines the role of the Gul incident in the adoption of the Convention for the Pacific Settlement of International Disputes of 1907.
