Hieroglyphics of the alphabetic signs of French writing of the IX – early XXI centuries

Abstract
The article investigates the alphabetic signs of the French writing IX – early XXI centuries from an ideographic position. For the first time in Romance linguistics letters of the French alphabet are treated as hieroglyphics. In modern linguistics a new linguistic approach is formed that envisages a combination of phonographic and ideographic aspects. In this connection was necessary to study the evolution of the main tendencies alphabetic signs of French writing while considering the phonographic and ideographic aspects.
