HISTORICAL AND ECONOMIC REVIEW OF THE WESTERN UKRAINIAN LANDS’ FOREIGN TRADE (XIX – EARLY XX CENTURIES)

Abstract
The historical tendencies and peculiarities of foreign trade activity of Western Ukrainian lands which in the XIX – early XX centuries were the part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire are revealed. The commodity structure of export and import is analyzed; the main geographical vectors of foreign trade flows are defined. The attention is paid to the disclosure of the trade relations between the Western region and the Russian Ukraine. The role of Western Ukrainian lands as important transit centers is substantiated.
