Abstract
The article investigates the historical aspect of the presumption of innocence and providing proof of guilt. The author analyzes the historical stages and procedural documents, which fixed the presumption of innocence and the nature and its value. The author comprehensively presented and the content of the presumption of innocence and providing proof of guilt in historical criminal procedural regulations.
