Historical preconditions for the formation of legal principles of the State Criminal and Executive Service of Ukraine activity.

Abstract
The article is dedicated to a study of historical preconditions for the formation of legal principles of the State Criminal and Executive Service of Ukraine activity. It is substantiated that the historical and geographical boundaries of the article should be considered the receipt of independence by Ukraine in 1991, the creation in 1998 of the State Department of Ukraine on the Execution of Punishments and the adoption by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 2005 the Law of Ukraine “On the State Criminal and Executive Service of Ukraine”. The necessity of passing such a law for bringing the functioning of the criminal and executive system of Ukraine into an optimal legal field is proved.
