HOLISTIC PRINCIPLES OF THE COMPARATIVE DESCRIPTION OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS

Abstract
The end of XX – the beginning of XXI century is the time of great insights and discoveries in various spheres of human activity. Holism can be determined as a new scientific direction. A holistic approach is inseparable from the anthropological one. This article deals with a comparative study of phraseological units of closely related languages within a holistic paradigm, which allows us to explicate the philosophical concepts of „whole” and „part”, that are universal among all systems. The diversity of the relations between the part and the whole also allows us to accurately identify ethnic-specific features of any language.
