Impedance Matching Technology Based on Radio Frequency Power Amplifier

Abstract
The input and output impedance of the transistor used in radio frequency (RF) power amplifier was smaller than the standard impedance of the RF system.If they were directly connected, the power was not effectively transmitted.In order to solve the problem, a passive network was added to eliminate the impedance difference and achieve maximum power transfer between them.The transmission-reflection method was used to analyze the conditions of the maximum power transmission in the single-port network and the evaluating parameters of the impedance matching network were concluded.The MRF6404 type transistor was used to research and verify impedance matching network.The results show that the impedance matching circuit designed by the microstrip line method has lower mismatch loss than the circuit of the analytical method and the resonance method.
