IMPLEMENTATION OF LOCAL SELF-GOVERNMENT, AS EXPRESSED IN ARTICLE 67 §1 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC

Abstract
The report entitled Local Self-Government Implementation, expressed in Article 67, paragraph 1, of the Constitution of the Slovak Republic, analyzes the possibilities of the inhabitants of the village (municipality) or the higher territorial unit to participate in the management of public affairs. Possibility of participation of inhabitants of the settlement (region) in the ac- tive realization of local self-government is the expression of Art. 2 Paragraph 1 of the Constitution of the Slovak Republic, according to which the state power comes from the citizens of the Slovak Republic, which they carry out directly or through their elected representatives, in conjunction with Art. 30 Paragraph 1 of the Constitution of the Slovak Republic, according to which they have the right to participate in state affairs, directly or through freely chosen representatives.
