The sample was 100 male employees for Low Intensity Noise category (0 to 75 Decibel) and 100 male employees for High Intensity Noise category (above 75 Decibel). Decibel Meters developed to answer to the Indian standard for sound level measurement, issued by Bureau of Indian Standards, such as IS 15575 (Part 1): 2005 and IS 15575 (Part 2): 2005, were used to measure noise levels in industrial units and select the sample according to the noise exposure.
