INFLUENCE OF DIFFERENT CHANGES ON BIOAVAILABILITY OF MEDICINE CHITOSANS ANTIPHLOGISTIC DRUGS
Journal Title: Progress on Chemistry and Application of Chitin and its Derivatives - Year 2008, Vol 0, Issue
Abstract
The increased adsorption of anti-inflammatory drugs on polymer with pH increased from 7.6 to 8.0 may be explained by the swelling properties of chitosan, which increase with increasing environmental pH to alkaline levels, in which the compound occurs in the form of emulsion, what increases the surface of the polymer and its sorption capacity. Basing on the above considerations, it can be stated that the investigated drug interacts with the polymer; the interaction is of an antagonistic character and consists in adsorption of the drugs on a polymer such as chitosan.

THE PROPERTIES OF THERMOSENSITIVE GYNECOLOGICAL POWDERS CONTAINING LACTIC ACID COMPLEXED WITH CHITOSAN
The investigations showed that the addition of a 20%, 23% and 25% poloxamer 407 increases the adhesive properties of the investigated powders, but at the same time it increases their pH. The enrichment of the composition...
METHOD FOR PREPARATION OF HYBRID SPHERICAL CHITOSAN/POLY(LACTIC ACID) STRUCTURES
The novelty of preparation is combining two biopolymers into one hybrid system to obtain desired release kinetics of active substances. The substance can be enclosed in the porous PLA microspheres or in the chitosan matr...
ASSESSMENT OF PHARMACEUTICAL PROPERTIES OF GYNAECOLOGICAL HYDROPHILIC GELS CONTAINING LACTIC ACID COMPLEXED WITH CHITOSAN
Gels containing lactic acid complexed with chitosan at a stoichiometric ration 1:1 and 2:1 and 5-25% content of polyoxyethylene glycol 200 are able to move from 25 to 30 cm. The addition of glycerol increases the movabil...
KINETICS OF THERMAL DEACTIVATION OF CHITIN DEACETYLASE
In the paper the thermal deactivation of chitin deacetylase separated from Absidia orchidis vel coerulea was investigated. Experiments were carried out at a temperature of 50ºC up to 24 hours. Three mechanisms of deactiv...
STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THERMOSENSITIVE CHITOSAN GLUTAMINATE HYDROGELS
Hydrogels that possess the ability of gelling in response to changes in the local environment, such as pH or temperature, have been examined extensively recently. In this paper the properties of thermosensitive chitosan...
