INFLUENCE OF THE INTERNATIONAL AND EUROPEAN STANDARDS OF PUNISHMENT OF MINORS IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE MODEL OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE FOR MINORS

Abstract
The article defines the functional-purpose features inherent in international juvenile justice systems, taking into account the experience of English-speaking, European, Latin American, Scandinavian countries. The idea of implementing various alternative measures that minimize and sometimes completely deny the corresponding punitive advisability of «classical» types of punishment is supported. It is noted that the juvenile justice system requires a specific, compromise and flexible legal system that could update a range of responses to offenses committed by minors that rely on assistance and education.
