INFORMATION SYSTEMS CAPABILITY AND FIRM PERFORMANCE: A STUDY ON KARAMAN O.I.Z

Abstract

This study information systems strategy with business strategy was designed to investigate the effect of alignment and this alignment effect performance. The Study in Karaman organized industry zone (OIZ) are usually made on medium and large businesses. Karaman in business generally is on the food industry and low-tech. The purpose of the study is to investigate the business strategies of companies and their reflection on information systems compatibility and performance. In the study, a survey was conducted on 60 persons who are the senior manager and company partner in the company. Survey results were analyzed with SPSS 20 program. In the result section, it was found to have the highest value that information systems is helping us to improve the efficiency of our production process in terms of strategic value, It is helping us enter new markets (2,71) average value . The meaning of this value is that the information systems used to implement the cost leadership strategy are compatible. This value also means that customer information in new markets is helping the marketing and sales unit. Information systems have been found to be correlated impact on organizational performance and strategic value.
