Information terrorism

Abstract
The following article says that among all the international economic, environmental, political and other issues, the problem of terrorism is of a particular importance, namely its aspect, such as informational terrorism, which arose as a result of the rapid development of society. The problem of not consolidating the concept of “terrorism” and “informational terrorism” at the international level, which leads to violations of international obligations, is revealed. It is indicated that there are a large number of reasons that lead to terrorist acts. It is noted that informational terrorism is a form and a way of affecting people, society, and the state through the use of various types of information. The issue is being considered and arguments are provided for and against informational terrorism being less frightening than terrorism in its general features. Different kinds of informational terrorism are investigated, their signs and ways of their negative influence are highlighted. Specifics of informational terrorism are indicated. It is pointed out that informational terrorism is a new type of terrorist activity, as a result of which there is a need to adopt certain international documents that will regulate the issues of ounteracting it at the national and international levels. An example of such regulation is given.
