Abstract
The tendencies of the development of modern society determine the necessity of using information technologies in the field of education. Professional training of future masters of cultural studies by means of multimedia technologies is impossible without the introduction of the principle of informatization. The principle of informatization of education is an objective necessity, which is enshrined at the legislative level, in particular in the «National Doctrine of Education Development». The term «information» is closely linked to the term «multimedia», which is one of the means of information and communication technologies. Multimedia technologies help perceive the educational material, direct the mental process of processing and systematizing information. The new level of literacy requires the creation of a fundamentally different technology for gaining scientific knowledge, new pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning, new training courses and teaching methods. An integral part of the information environment of the educational process should be the intellectual technologies of professional activity, information resources, intellectual software complexes.
