INNOVATIVE WORK: ECONOMIC ESSENCE AND DEVELOPMENT PRECONDITIONS

Abstract
The relevance of problems considered in the presented article is unconditional and is determined by the need for the rapid transition of the economy towards innovation development. The purpose of the article is to analyse the economic essence and characteristic features of innovation work, as well as study the preconditions for its formation in Ukraine. The article analyses the economic essence and characteristic features of innovation work, in particular, its subjective, non-standard and extraordinary character, its discreteness and low degree of regulation, as well as the preconditions for its development in Ukraine. The place of Ukraine in the ranking of individual countries according to the global index of innovations in 2016 is considered. The factors of stimulation of innovation work development in Ukraine are revealed. The swiftness and intensity of the globalization processes in the global economy require Ukraine to respond instantly to important economic challenges. The urgent requirement of today is the ability to timely and efficiently master advanced achievements in the fields of science, technology, and new technologies, as the impact of scientific and technological and innovation spheres contributes to the rapid economic growth of the state’s economy. The neglect of the problems of organization and stimulation of the development of an innovative component of the economy by the state can lead to Ukraine’s loss of opportunity to actively participate in shaping the main trends in the reproduction of global markets for scientific and technological innovations and new technologies. The experience of successful leading countries in the field of innovation and high technology proves the need for public administration and control over these processes. Over the past decades, governments and corporations have been actively increasing the cost of science, innovation, and high technologies, which are not being stopped even during periods of financial and economic crisis.
