Journal Title: Revista de Estudios Marítimos y Sociales - Year 2012, Vol 5, Issue 11

Abstract

The purpose of this work is to provide more information about the different kinds of native’s resistance, mainly the ways that resistance has acquired in Tierra del Fuego after the colonization. Moreover, the Selk’nam’s behaviour and strategies are studied as regards their missionary everyday life from La Calendaria (Río Grande) and its interaction with the Selesianos. Their behaviour is noticed according to the natives’ soil and use of the resources as the consequence of the pressure originated by the capitalism.
