INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCES FROM THE PERSPECTIVES OF LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE STUDENTS

Abstract
Landscape architecture is an applied profession which aims to create balance between the use and protection of natural and cultural resources to create more liveable and sustainable environments for people. It has different focuses such as planning, design and management. Although theoretical and practical courses are given very well in the undergraduate education process, internship has a great importance to achieve a professional experience and to understand how to use the knowledge acquired in the school. In order for such an important process to be carried out in the most efficient way, the positive or negative opinions and suggestions of the students who have completed their internship are of great importance. Within the scope of this study, the experiences and opinions of the landscape architecture undergraduate students of Akdeniz University, who have completed their plant nursery and office internships during the summer of 2020, were determined and analysed. Some suggestions were put forward to improve the internship processes.
