Investigation of technology of injection waterproofing of underground structures

Abstract

In the work the issues of development of corrosion processes in concrete constructions due to the influence of moisture are investigated. The features of fluid motion in a porous environment are analyzed using examples of concrete samples in the case of prolonged exposure to humidification. The work is devoted to determining the depth of moistening of reinforced concrete structures and determining the dimensions of the non-wetted core, depending on the class of concrete and the thickness of the structure. To assess the level of capillary moisture rise in concrete samples the concrete of class C30 / 35 was designed, it is important from practical experience. To obtain the results of humidity spreading in concrete, the samples were cleaned of salt residues on the surface and placed in metal trays. Based on experimental studies, the technology of horizontal blocking injection waterproofing was proposed. Despite the great labor consumption of the proposed technology (2 holes of depth 150 mm against the one hole with depth of 380 mm), due to the reduction of the waterproofing material, an economic effect is achieved. The results of theoretical and experimental studies can be used to select the optimal method for protecting structures from moisture and to determine the location and method of waterproofing.
