Journal Title: Endüstri Mühendisliği - Year 2016, Vol 27, Issue 1
Abstract
To properly assess the investment decisions in the variable and risky manufacturing environment, these studies have to be improved with the help of scientific researches and analyses. An investment decision without using correct financial techniques may result loss of time, reputation and money. This study was improved for a new energy saver product used in industrial refrigerators and similar coolers in an organization which manufacture electronic devices. Product analyses has been made instantly and continuously and as a result the manufacturable of this device was established according to efficiency of device. Instant test values were obtained for efficiency analyses. Average of 20% less active energy consumption was observed with this device. In this study, the financial analyses which are required to manufacture this device and the feasibility study about the investment have been made. Westinghouse performance rating system, net present value method and break-even point analysis have been used to take opinion about the investment decision.
