IST COMPETENCE NEEDS IN THE CITIZENS VOCATIONAL CAREER

Abstract

This paper analyses the necessity of citizens IST competence in vocational career. The empirical results of the study showed that the competence IST is important and meaningful for citizens’ vocational career. IST competence help us more efficiently and faster to perform work activities, helps to protect your rights, comply with the quality requirements and create new solutions or ideas. Today it is recognized that IST can improve work efficiency which is very important in order to develop public citizens’ vocational career. In today's knowledge and information in the world society is developing very rapidly: ever faster is renewed equipment and technology, increasing the amount of information changing and becoming more complex work activities. During the change of social life, education spheres rapidly changing to information society technologies, individuals must adapt to changing conditions and to the rapid pace of life. Information society technologies changing societies progress in all areas of life: work, business, education, research, entertainment, etc. The information society is not only changing society groups’ synergy, but also makes traditional organizational structures to adapt and become more flexible, more communal and less centralized. Information society technologies are in all human life. Without the Information Society Technologies is unimaginable daily work, communication, and often even leisure. Information and telecommunications technologies affects the public administration and all political, legal, economic, social and cultural processes. The problem-due to rapid technological, political and economic changes in the society is increasing the Information Society Technologies (IST -) competence need of citizens professional career development, but not always updated and identifiable society of citizens IST competence need taking into account the rapidly changing society. The aim of the paper-to validate the IST competence need of citizens’ professional career. The object of investigation-IST competence needs. The methods- scientific literature analysis and systematization, statistical analysis, survey.
