Abstract
The article is devoted to the research of the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation, the institutional form of development of cross-border cooperation between Ukraine and the EU. The basic acts of the national legislation regulating cross-border cooperation are analyzed. Conclusions on the advantages and disadvantages of establishing a European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation and the need to develop a legal mechanism for the transition of Ukrainian Euroregions to the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation with a view to fully exploiting the potential of cross-border cooperation with the Member States of the European Union are maybe.
