Joint Simulation of Fuel-cell Stack and Voltage Converter for Vehicle

Abstract

In view of the unstable output characteristic of the proton exchange membrane fuel-cell( PEMFC),a direct current( DC)-DC voltage converter model was designed. The main circuit adopted the boost circuit and the control circuit adopted the combined pulse excitation switch controller. According to the principle of PEMFC,a rated power of 35 k W PEMFC stack model was designed,and its effectiveness and operability were verified. The 35 k W PEMFC stack and the DC-DC voltage converter were jointly simulated to verify the control effect of the DC-DC voltage converter. The results show that the DC-DC voltage converter can boost voltage in0. 4 ms and control the error within 1. 2%. So the requirements of boosting and stabling voltage to PEMFC stack are well satisfied.
