Abstract

THE CALCULATION OF THE MAXIMUM THERMAL STRESS FOR CONVECTIVE HEATING (COOLING) OF THE PLATE Gorbunov A.D., Sorohmanyuk A.I. Abstract Without the values of thermal stresses inside the massive body can not be assigned the appropriate energy and material- thermal modes of furnaces or other units, related to the heat treatment of materials such as: heat treatment furnaces, dryers. With significant heating rates in the plate can occur voltage exceeding permissible for the material, leading in some cases to the destruction of the body. The paper [1, 2] presents the analytical engineering method for calculating the axial thermal stresses in convective heating (cooling) flat bodies. In some cases, for rapid calculations that do not require great precision, it is advisable to have a graphical way of solutions. In monograph [3] listed nomogram to determine the maximum thermal stress on the surface in the center of the plate and the time of their occurrence depending on the number of Bio. However, [3] there is a dependence of maximum temperature difference  м , and also seen in the timing inaccuracy of offensive small stress plate center. Objective – to build a more complete graphical nomograms. Conclusions. 1. Developed engineering method of calculation of axial thermal stresses in convective heating (cooling) of the plate. Emphasis is placed on the determination of the maximum thermal stress and the time of their occurrence. 2. It presents a nomogram for the calculation of the maximum values of the graphics thermal stresses in the center, on the surface, the temperature difference and the time of their occurrence. 3. At moderate numbers Bio greatest value in absolute value voltage to have surfaces that are approximately 2 times higher than the thermal stresses at the center of the plate. A nomogram for the graphical calculation of thermal stresses and temperature difference will give the opportunity to make it easier for engineers to art. References [1] Gorbunov A. D.
