LA GESTIÓN DE LAS EMOCIONES EN EL EMPRENDIMIENTO

Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine, from an administrative perspective, the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and the entrepreneurial spirit in Othón P. Blanco and Felipe Carrillo Puerto in the State of Quintana Roo, Mexico. According to the specialized literature on the subject, the main authors cited are Goleman (1995), Mayer and Salovey (1995), Caruso and Salovey (2004), Goleman and Boyatzis (2017), Yıldırım, Trout and Hartzell (2019), and Bradberry and Greaves (2009). The methodology used is causal. For this reason, multiple regression is used as an analysis tool, which allows us to determine this relationship. To collect information, a structured questionnaire was applied to 223 business owners, who were the key informants. The results obtained show that there is a direct relationship between the decision to undertake and the IEM of women, in its four dimensions (selfassessment, assessment of others, regulation and self-management). Therefore, it is concluded that the IEM of businesswomen represents an adequate indicator to explain the decision to undertake business initiatives.
