LA GESTIÓN DEL CONOCIMIENTO Y LAS HERRAMIENTAS COLABORATIVAS: UNA ALTERNATIVA DE APLICACIÓN EN INSTITUCIONES DE EDUCACION SUPERIOR

Abstract

Knowledge Management (KM) is a managerial activity which has proved a boom in business, generating continuous improvement, productivity and developing innovations for to social development. However, its application in Higher Education institutions, has been limited, despite the element in which these institutions base their work is knowledge. This article, first tries to explore the potential of this management activity for it’s application in the field of Higher Education, supported by the collaborative tools, then to make a check list of the state of the current management knowledge, the differentiation of the types of knowledge that can be managed, the elements that are to be considered for the management of higher education, which are the collaborative tools, which are the ones that have the highest possibility of being applied in these institutions. Finally to project the possibilities of managing knowledge in these institutions using collaborative tools.
