LE ROMAN POLICIER AFRICAIN FRANCOPHONE: DU BANAL INVRAISEMBLABLE AU FANTASTIQUE

Abstract
Abstract: The Francophone African detective novel uses absurdity to reveal with hurtful cruelty the fate and tragic existence of a people at the edge of abyss. Thus, in this detective novel, the character at first sets himself up as a distinct being, and the story progressively becomes a place of breakup of the original being. One then attends a strange world. In the Francophone detective novel, one deals with a universe in with the irrationality borders the magico-religious thought. This paper aims at showing that the Francophone detective novel gives the opportunity to see a social and political structure of the African society in which the religious unity and magical practices appear as the only expression of a shared spirituality. One might come to the conclusion that fantasy and absurdity in the Francophone detective novel permit to reproduce the image of a social chaos which is the result of a historical disaster that involves the impossibility to give certain logic to the reality. Résumé: Le polar africain francophone se sert de l’absurde pour révéler avec une cruauté cinglante le destin et l’existence tragique d’un peuple au bord du gouffre. Ainsi, dans ce roman policier, le personnage se pose au départ comme une entité distincte, et le récit devient progressivement le lieu de désintégration de cette entité originaire. L’on assiste alors à un monde étranger et étrange. Dans le roman policier francophone, on a affaire à un univers dans lequel l’irrationnel côtoie la pensée magico-religieuse. Cet article vise à montrer que le polar francophone donne à voir une structure sociale et politique de la société africaine dans laquelle le syncrétisme religieux et les pratiques magiques apparaissent comme la seule expression d’une spiritualité partagée. On pourrait aboutir à la conclusion que le fantastique et l’absurde dans le polar francophone permettent de reproduire l’image d’un chaos social, conséquence d’un cataclysme historique qui implique l’impossibilité de donner une certaine logique à la réalité.
