Legal Aid to the Population as Part of the General Social Crime Prevention Measures by Local Governments

Abstract
The article investigates the mandate and activities of the local self-government bodies in the field of crime prevention in the part of the legal education of the population and legal assistance. In this regard, reviewed the Law of Ukraine “About local government in Ukraine” as amended on 06/25/2016. It is noted that the current crime causes considerable concern in society because of the stability in the country, observance of the law, the law depends on the security of every citizen. The desire to deeply understand the rapid process of criminalization, spreading serious crimes motivated by self-defense, the desire to stabilize the country. We have many examples of citizens' associations in self-defense and self-preservation, in particular through the cooperation of law enforcement agencies and local authorities in combating crime.
