Abstract
The article analyzes the memorandum of law of Ukraine – the City charter of 1892, which was the legislative act of the city self-government of the Ukrainian cities of the late XIX – early XX centuries. It determines its legal influence on the development of city law in Ukrainian cities of the specified historical period.
