Abstract
At the momento it is experiencing the conformation of its old town, the decline of its castle and a looser control of the Order of Santiago. At this momento, the figure of Our Lady of Marvels, who will become the patrón saint of Cehegin, arrives in town. But nor everything will be ideal because the cadastre shows a decline in the population, which will trigger a social crisis. In addition, at this very delicate momento, what has been called “blood cleansing”, carried out by Francisco Loreto Alarcón from Seville, explodes and lasts for a short time.
