ЛІНГВІСТИЧНІ І СОЦІОКУЛЬТУРНІ ОСОБЛИВОСТІ ТЕКСТІВ АНГЛОМОВНИХ ОГЛЯДОВИХ ЕКСКУРСІЙ

Abstract
The increasing spreading of Tourism suggests the emergence of a special language of tourist discourse, that includes from one to multiple text components that are functionally interconnected and have some linguistic options. Methods. Foreign and Ukrainian scientists' works dedicated to linguistics and methodology were used to analyze the existing scientific concepts concerning linguistic and sociocultural peculiarities of teaching professional English writing to the students of Tourism. Results. Ability and skills to model professionally meaningful texts are with the category of genre competence associated. Characteristics of professional genres are the basis for solving professional tasks in a particular professional field. Tourist discourse has a number of features that are specific for it, allowing it to allocate a separate institutional type of discourse. It is based on a specific set of genres, formed by needs to optimize communication of sellers and consumers tourism services in different situations. “Text of sightseeing tour” is an independent institutional tourist genre of discourse that simultaneously refers to the two hypergenre public speaking and reference materials, which makes it significant speech, language and socio-cultural characteristics. Conclusion. Analysing texts of sightseeing tours, typical for this text is using the infinitive constructions, complete forms, formal negative forms, impersonal forms, passive constructions. A special place is given to the usage of geographical names, place names, proper names, dates, prepositions, common adjectives.
