Magical rites experience as a manifestation of the “collective unconscious” in the structure of Can Xue’s artistic thinking

Abstract
The article is aimed to define and analyse the main sources of the works of modern Chinese writer Can Xue. Folk magic traditions of Hunan province is considered through the concept of Jungeʼs “collective unconscious”, which influenced the content and formal features of Can Xue’s prose.
