MAIN INFLUENTIAL FACTORS IN THE INCREASE IN CASES OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN IN PERU: PANDEMIC CONTEXT
Journal Title: Social Innova Sciences - Year 2021, Vol 2, Issue 3
Abstract
This research aims to carry out a critical review of the scientific literature related to violence against women in the current context of the COVID-19 pandemic. For this, a bibliographic search has been carried out in the main databases, such as ScienceDirect, Scielo and Google Scholar. The applied filter consisted of using keywords such as “domestic violence”, “gender violence”, “intimate partner violence” or “violence against women” and “COVID-19”, “SARS-CoV-2”, “2019 -nCoV” or “coronavirus”. Due to the relevance of the subject, a specific period for the selection of articles is not established, however, emphasis is placed on publications from the last five years. In terms of content, the literature reports a measurable and codifiable result of domestic violence; published in English and Spanish. It is concluded that the measures taken to eradicate violence against women have not been efficient and there are not many control measures between countries and international institutions, whose responsibility falls on these same fundamental rights of citizens to your awareness. On the other hand, the registered indices show an exorbitant increase.
