METHODS AND MEANS OF THE PROSECUTOR’S DIRECTION AND SUPERVISION OVER THE POLICE INQUIRY IN THE RUSSIAN EMPIRE

Abstract
The article considers the methods and means of the prosecutor’s direction and supervision over the police inquiry, as well as some measures taken by the Prosecutor’s office to improve the level of inquiry in the Russian Empire after the judicial reform of 1864.
