Metody badań nad wykorzystaniem zasobów środowiskowych przez zwierzęta i ich zastosowanie w łąkarstwie

Abstract
Review of number of publications, allows to state, that analyses of environmental resources utilization by animals can be widely applied in grassland sciences.Studies about animal-grassland habitat interactions include number of subjects, such as influence of quality, quantity and structure of available forage on grassland utilization by animals; modifications of grassland habitats by and for animals; interactions between animal species on grassland habitats and utilization of grassland surface by animals. This analyses could be adapted both in studies about grassland management and environmental protection.In the course of time, research methods have evolved to adapt to new technologies and statistical approaches. Analyses of environmental resources utilization by animals could take a form of selectivity indices or, derived from them, linear models. Development of resource utilization analyses toward also to complexity of description, what allow to draw an unambiguous conclusions – the biggest methodologies include groups of functions, describing many environmental factors. Moreover,creating models on the basis of this analyses could be used to predict how changes in landscape structure and animals and plants populations will affect at the equilibrium in grassland ecosystems.
