Modern management in the social enterprise

Abstract

Modern management aimed at achieving the priorities of a social enterprise requires the specific choice of a management model. An accurate selection of an appropriate management model influences its effectiveness and has a direct bearing on, not only, economic performance but also on society. Current studies carried out within the social economy are allowing us to enrich the study of literature based on the specificity of its conclusions on Polish enterprises whose mission is of a social background. Social entrepreneurship is a specific concept within entrepreneurship. Subject to maximizing the needs indicated by different social groups, owners, managers, and shareholders. Subjects of the social economy that are generated to function on opened market revenues are assigned to the realization of social purpose. Their functions are realized through a range of operations e.g. assistance in access to educational services through training organizations, specialist rates, counseling. Despite the fact, that it is possible to find numerous Polish legal acts concerning almost every activity on the subject of social economy, there is no definition concerning content notion of social economy, considerable difficulties appear due to the qualification of a given subject of social economy in relation to the definite legal form.
