Scope and structure of the innovative activity of enterprises in West Pomerania region, according to the economic crisis

Abstract
The global economic crisis has undoubtedly meant that companies around the world have been affected by a number of its negative consequences. Although the current world economy recorded a slow growth, but this crisis are still being felt by businesses, particularly representing the SME sector, especially in the fall in demand, rising costs, worsening liquidity. The paper provides theoretical and empirical research on innovation activities of enterprises in Western Pomerania, with particular emphasis on the level of innovation, the structure of implemented measures, the scope of innovation, cooperation with other entities, business expectations for the financial support of innovative projects, as well as the economic downturn’s impact on innovation companies surveyed. The scope of this paper is dictated by the increasing importance of timely issues and innovation, both in the literature and in the business practice. The paper uses primarily a method of analysis and synthesis.
