Morfologia grupy skalnej Paciorki w Karkonoszach

Abstract
Morphology of the Paciorki tor group in the Karkonosze Granite tors are very common landforms of the Karkonosze. Here we describe a large granite tor group – Paciorki, located in the central part of the Karkonosze, ca. 1060 m a.s.l. The objectives of the study included a geomorphic characteristics of the Paciorki and an analysis of the main factors affecting the tor morphology. The research was based on field mapping of the tor group and on joint measurements. The result is a detailed geomorphic map presenting the most important rock forms. The rock forms were divided in two groups (upper and lower) in terms of their morphological and topographical features. The upper one consists of three small tors and the lower one includes a series of long and high rock forms. The general morphology analysis in relation to the joint system showed a significant impact of the vertical NNE-SSW joints.
