Мотивуючі практики для батьків як агентів економічної соціалізації школярів (Motivating practices for parents as agents of schoolchildren's economic socialization)

Abstract

The secondary schoolchildren parents as effective agents of socializing influence on their children have a great socializing potential for the development of schoolcholdren's economic culture. But parents' socializing function requires them to be psychologically ready and motivated for performing it. The proposed practice of holding fairs proved to be effective in motivating schoolchildren's parents to promote their children's economic culture, privacy and sovereignty as key prerequisites for children's becoming mature agents of informed economic decision-making. The fair is not only a motivational training for adults, but a practice whose main objectives are rooted in the economic culture of Ukrainians, because it is a socio-economic activity that is integrated into the modern culture of appropriation-dispossession, use and possession of economic benefits. The fair features publicity, scale, attachment to one place, festivity, wholesale character, which are observed at the socializing parents' ideas fair. The author describes the general design of the event as well as the mo tivational character of each of its stages. The motivating practices used at "The Successful Managers’ Education Ideas Fair for Interested Parents" have proved to be effective in developing parents' readiness to act as agents of schoolchildren's economic socialization. The promising areas of parents' training as agents of schoolchildren's economic culture include the development of schoolchildren's rational consumption skills, schoolchildren's effective inclusion in monetary relations, and development of schoolchildren's economic agency.
