Multi-body Dynamics Modeling and Steering Performance Simulation and Verification of Tracked Tractor

Abstract

The Dongfanghong 1302 R tracked tractor model was constructed by using the Track-LM toolbox in RecurD yn software. A model of the relationship between the ground and the tracks was constructed and the implement method for this model in RecurD yn was analyzed according to the theory of terramechanics. Based on the modeling of the structure parameters of Dongfanghong 1302 R tracked tractor and two typical grounds parameters,the turning angular speed,the turning angular acceleration and the motion traces of the tracked tractor were simulated. The variation trends of steering performance on different grounds were analyzed and compared. The simulation results were verified through actual vehicle experiment. The experiment results show that the relative error of simulation is less than 10%. Methods and results of the simulations provide reference for research on the steering dynamic of tracked tractor.
