MULTILATERAL INTERNATIONAL TREATIES AS A GUARANTEE OF THE RIGHT OF AN INJURED EMPLOYEE TO RECEIVE ADEQUATE SOCIAL SECURITY IN CASE OF WORK INJURY OR OCCUPATIONAL DISEASE

Abstract

At present, no state can do without the use of international acts in its national legal field. In modern society, international treaties are aimed at solving problems, conflicts or disagreements of various levels and nature solely through diplomatic methods, and, therefore, contribute to the effective protection of the rights and freedoms of every person and citizen. In each area of national law, all applicable international treaties to which Ukraine has acceded or which were ratified by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine are considered as official and priority source of law (provisions of similar content are also enshrined in Article 19 of the Law of Ukraine “On International Treaties of Ukraine” of June 29, 2004). In this connection, the field of social protection law is also not excluded, in which international acts systematically and consistently influence all manifestations of social protection in Ukraine: legal doctrine, practice, legal awareness of participants in social legal relations, etc.
