MUSEUM PEDAGOGY AND NATION UPBRINGING

Abstract

The article focuses on the issue of originating and development of museum pedagogy as a science, peculiarities of its recognition and encorporating in educa-tional system of Ukraine. Evolution of cultural and educational activity of mu-seums, methods of impact on various categories of visitors have been investigated. It has been defined that museum pedagogy has established as a peculiar branch of knowledge and scientific research in the second half of the XX century. It implies serving a Human, a People, a State and Humankind and therefore has to educate a Human, a People and Humankind. It is emphasized that in the independent Ukraine museum pedagogy takes on a significant role in the process of renewal of modern educational system, under the conditions of topicality of issues of preserving and developing spiritual and moral values of the Ukrainian people.
