MUSIC TEACHERS’ OPINIONS ABOUT GENERAL MUSIC EDUCATION OF INCLUSIVE STUDENTS

Abstract

In educational settings, there are students with special needs who develop differently according to their peers from mental, physical and emotional aspects .Students with special needs continue their education by taking lessons from their friends. One of these lessons is music. In this research, semi-structured interview form, which was formed by researchers, was applied to ten music teachers working at the central province of Bolu province in order to determine the opinions of music teachers, who are the teachers of music course, on general music education. In this research, semi-structured interview form, which was formed by researchers, was applied to ten music teachers working at the central province of Bolu province in order to determine the opinions of music teachers on general music education . Content of the questionnaire response analysis method was used in order to determine the status of the investigated subject and existing problems were identified. Among the answers to the questions, the most important finding is that the majority of music teachers confirm that students with special needs are experiencing inadequacies in music education. Findings related to the questions were given in the results session, they are interpreted and suggestions are given in the same part .
