Myśl pedagogiczna Jana Amosa Komeńskiego jako podłoże rozwoju humanistycznej orientacji w wychowaniu / The pedagogical thought of John Amos Comenius as the basis for the development of the humanistic orientation in education

Abstract
The humanistic orientation of pedagogy was emphasized at the turn of 19th and 20th centuries in the assumptions of concepts developed within the framework of the New School as well as in anti authoritarian or personalistic pedagogies, its exemplification is humanistic pedagogy, in which the main purpose of impacts is the interest of the pupil. Humanistic assumptions are the basis for pedagogies implemented contemporarily. Significance of humanistic assumptions became an impetus for defining their roots. The foundations of humanistic pedagogy are usually found in Kant’s philosophical thought, while the intention of the author was to reach back to the pedagogy of John Amos Comenius, regarded as the creator of scientific foundation of pedagogical thought, and to extract a humanistic idea therefrom. For that purpose, pedagogical thought of Comenius was reconstructed for humanistic content and next interpreted in the context of assumptions of humanistic pedagogy. This allowed for indicating analogies between assumptions present in both pedagogies.
