Investing in art as an example of alternative investment

Abstract
The paper presents the classification of emotional investments as one category of the alternative investments. Article shows impact of Chinese investors on the condition of art market. Paper also researches volatility of returns for selected national art markets. It contains basic statistical measures for analyzed alternative investments. It also shows possibility of reducing the risk of each portfolio investment, through adequate diversification. Lecture finishes with a calculation of correlation between analyzed alternative investments and main WSE indexes.
