Normative base of ukraine for the design of bases and foundations of buildings and structures. Modern state and development prospects

Abstract

The analysis of normative base of Ukraine and an overview of the new state building norms (DBN) and standards (DSTU) for the design of bases and foundations in normal and complicated engineering-geological conditions, developed and proposed in SE «The State Research Institute of Building Constructions» is done. The documents set out the requirements for the design of bases and foundations, constructed or placed on the territories, which ground base is characterized by difficult geological conditions or display of dangerous engineering-geological processes, the recommendations on the design of structural solutions of buildings and structures, the organization of monitoring to ensure the operational safety of buildings and structures by means of video surveillance of changes in the parameters of the state and assessment of the identified changes. The relevance of the development of new regulations is caused by the fact that the areas of territories with favorable geotechnical conditions for new construction have been steadily diminishing, especially in large cities, and there is an urgent need to design and build buildings and structures on sites with unfavorable conditions. Therefore, the construction of a significant number of projects takes place in complex engineering-geological conditions, in areas with manifestations of dangerous engineering-geological processes, as well as in seismic areas. The introduction of new state construction norms and standards allows to improve the requirements for taking measures and design of foundations, trenches, underground structures, protective structures for the engineering protection of territories, buildings and structures protecting from dangerous geological processes and in complex engineering-geological conditions, observations of engineering protection facilities and protection of the surrounding natural environment. New documents have been developed in accordance with modern requirements for the development of regulatory documents of the construction industry, established by the Ministry of regional development and construction.
