Abstract
The article highlights the peculiarities of using information technologies in teaching EFL. Using multimedia technologies in teaching English (email, websites, WebQuest, national corpora, etc.) cultivates students’ interest and motivation, promotes their communication capacity, widens their knowledge of Western cultures, improves interaction between the teacher and the student, as well as provides flexibility and context to course content.
