Nowoczesny oddział intensywnej terapii- najwyższy standard opieki pielęgniarskiej

Abstract
The Ordinance of the Minister of Health of 16 December 2016 on the organizational standard of healthcare in the field of anaesthesiology and intensive therapy regulates the functioning of intensive care units (ICU). The directive includes the guidelines concerning the staff working at the unit, equipment, and binding procedures. The long-term work of the author at ICU and observation of this environment allow to formulate the following conclusion: the best effects, i.e. the highest standard of care of an intensive care patient, can be achieved due to good cooperation of a team of professionals. This ward should be organized in such a way as to ensure comfort for the patient, as much as possible, and, above all, to facilitate providing care.
