O QUE A CULTURA TEM A NOS FALAR SOBRE A ALIMENTAÇÃO SAUDÁVEL?

Abstract
Given the increasing concern about the eating habits of the general population, this study aimed to understand the reasons that lead people to eat healthy food, and the influence of culture in decision making. For that, interviews with regulars of a restaurant specializing in natural food were conducted in Lavras – a city in the State of Minas Gerais. The qualitative and descriptive research pointed out that the main cultural factors that influence the consumption of healthy food, in order of importance, were: firstly, the family, followed by religion. Furthermore, we identified that many respondents associate the practice of physical exercise with a balanced diet, thus aiming at a better quality of life.
